Cryptocurrency Exchange Bitfinex
Bitfinex is one of the oldest exchanges in the industry, and its derivatives arm differs from the rest in its listing approach. There are fewer than a hundred perpetual contracts: the venue does not chase pair counts and keeps liquidity in the major coins.
The audience is different here. Bitfinex has historically served professional traders, with an extended set of order types and margin funding that users supply to each other. The downside of that same approach: the interface is harder than average and the derivatives asset choice is narrower than at exchanges listing a thousand contracts.
