What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like Claude securely connect to external data sources and tools. Kurslog runs a public MCP server that exposes our exchange-rate data so you can ask questions about rates, exchangers, and cash-exchange cities directly in your Claude conversations.

This connector is read-only. It does not execute, broker, or facilitate any exchange transactions — it only surfaces public data already visible on kurslog.com.

What you can ask Claude

Find the best rate

"What's the best rate to swap 5000 USDT TRC20 to cash UAH in Kyiv right now?"

Compare exchangers

"Show me the top 10 exchangers for Bitcoin to Monobank UAH with their trust scores."

Find cash cities

"Which Ukrainian cities can I cash out USDT for euros today?"

Vet an exchanger

"Is the exchanger 'digichanger' trustworthy? What's its rating and how long has it been on the market?"

Discover currencies

"Do you support USDC on Polygon? What network variants of USDT are tracked?"

Plan a transfer

"I want to send EUR to a friend in Lviv. Best route from USDT, with the lowest fee?"

The five tools

Claude has access to five read-only tools when this connector is active:

  • find_best_rate — top 3 exchangers for a currency pair, with optional city for cash directions.
  • compare_exchangers — broader list (up to 20) with trust score, rating, reserves, and profile links.
  • get_exchanger_profile — single exchanger profile: trust status, domain age, contacts, monitoring reviews.
  • find_cities_for_direction — Ukrainian cities where cash exchange is currently available for a pair.
  • list_currencies — discover supported currency codes (used as arguments for the other tools).

How to add it to Claude

  1. Open claude.ai → Settings → Connectors.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Add custom connector.
  3. Paste the URL: https://mcp.kurslog.com/v1/mcp and click Add.
  4. Done. No login or authentication is required — all data is public. Tools become available in your next chat.

To verify the connector is active, open a new chat and type "List supported currencies via Kurslog". Claude should call our list_currencies tool and return a list of codes like usdt-trc20, monobank-uah, cash-uah.

What this connector is not

  • Not a trading API. You cannot place orders or move funds through it.
  • Not a wallet. No keys, no signatures, no transactions.
  • Not a forex feed. Generic interbank EUR/USD pairs without exchange-office context are out of scope — use a forex API for that.
  • Not a market-data terminal. Stocks, options, commodities, and centralized-exchange order books are not included.

Pricing

Free. No API key, no rate plan, no signup. Reasonable per-IP rate limits apply to prevent abuse.

Disclaimer

Exchange rates returned by this connector may be stale by up to ~5 minutes due to caching. Always verify the current rate on the exchanger's own site before sending any funds. Kurslog aggregates publicly visible rates and is not responsible for outcomes of transactions made with third-party exchangers.
