Tangem is an innovative hardware cryptocurrency wallet in a bank card format with an NFC chip, created by a Swiss company in 2017. Unlike traditional hardware wallets with screens and buttons, Tangem looks like a regular plastic card and interacts with a smartphone via NFC technology. The kit includes 2 or 3 cards — one primary and backup copies. If the primary card is lost, the backup fully restores access to funds. The Samsung S3D350A security chip (EAL6+ certification) provides military-grade private key protection. Tangem has no seed phrase — the key is generated and stored exclusively on the card chip, eliminating the risk of seed phrase interception.
