About USDS (Dai)

USDS is the decentralized stablecoin of the Sky protocol (formerly MakerDAO), pegged to the US dollar. It is the upgraded version of Dai: the two tokens convert into each other 1:1, so exchangers label this position as either DAI or USDS — functionally the same asset. Unlike USDT and USDC, it is created by locking crypto collateral in smart contracts with no central issuer, which makes it resistant to censorship and fund freezes.
